Coworking Bravely Sarah Aschkenas Insights

Action COACH Eric Knam: Tell us a little about Coworking Bravely.

Sarah: We are an event center and coworking community for women. Women work here throughout the week, and even on the weekends. They also host baby showers, birthday parties, bridal showers- all of those types of events!

Eric: What amenities do you have available?

Sarah: We have open workspaces. And multiple different work areas like couches, chairs, and private conference rooms.

Eric: How long have you been in business?

Sarah: August 1 was our one year!

Eric: Who would you say is your target audience?

Sarah: Women who are working towards a dream! Women who are working remotely or working on side projects like writing a book. If you’re a lady and need a space, we’re the place for you!

Eric: What differentiates you from other companies out there?

Sarah: We’re women only so that’s different. We are also open until 10 pm and on the weekends, which offers a lot of flexibility for working adults.

Eric: What has been the biggest impact of COVID-19 on your business?

Sarah: We had to completely shut down our events which was hard since we were completely booked out. It was a big hit for us!

Eric: It’s said that smart people learn from their mistakes and wise people learn from the mistakes of others. What mistakes have you made along the way and how can other entrepreneurs learn from your experience?

Sarah: The first month we were opened, I found out I had made a mistake with charging sales tax for our customers. Thankfully we caught that early on and I was able to fix it. Everything I had told people, price-wise, was incorrect. Doing things with integrity is so important to me, so in the moment I had to be honest with members who had already joined. But I found that being so honest and transparent helped me in the long run. Long story short, handle things with integrity, and don’t beat around the bush!

Eric: Do you have any offer you’d like to add?

Sarah: If you mention ActionCOACH you can get 50% off your day pass!
