Kyle Critchnau’s INSIGHTS

The main service I provide is website creation and keeping websites up to date. We also focus on lead generation for local businesses.

Action COACH Eric Knam: How long have you been doing this?

Kyle: About a year. I have been in the software and IT industry all of my career, but the actual digital marketing side started about a year ago. It actually started by accident for a couple of friends. My friend said “we need a new website, could you help me out?” and it all started from there!

Eric: Who would you say is your target market?

Kyle: Any local business. Right now I’m doing a lot in the home services space- pest control, roofers, fence builders, real estate agents.

Eric: What differentiates you from the other people out there who do what you do?

Kyle: I guarantee my results. If you don’t get at least 20-30 solid leads from your ideal customer then I give you your money back plus $100 for wasting your time.

Eric: How has COVID-19 impacted you?

Kyle: As far as my business operations, it has not really impacted me much. It has really affected my customers and potential customers. They are needing to switch gears and focus on different offers to target exactly who they want to walk into their doors.

Eric: It’s been said that smart people learn from their mistakes and wise people learn from the mistakes of others. What mistakes did you make along the way? And how can other entrepreneurs learn from your experience?

Kyle: The first thing I would say is when I started my business I didn’t take into account how much stuff out there was not worth it to actually build my business. I invested in a lot of different things I didn’t even need; such as invoice software. Only invest in what you actually need to build your business and follow your business plan.
