A collection of short interviews with local business owners and their insight into today’s challenges.

Eric Knam, a local business action coach, has an inside look into the insights of local business owners and focuses on different businesses from different industries where his clients and many others are challenged by the COVID-19 Crisis.

Every business owner has valuable advice to share with other business owners and entrepreneurs. A few even have a special offer to share! Check out their interview and visit their websites.

Stacey Moore’s INSIGHTS

We are a DIY paint and sip studio! We use wood instead of canvas, and we use stencils. So you don’t have to paint or draw. We also serve wine and beer to our guests.

Action COACH Eric Knam: How long have you been in business?

Stacey: We have been in business for one and a half years.

Eric: Who is your target audience?

Stacey: Probably 30-60-year-old ladies.

Eric: Is there anything that differentiates you from the other sip and paint studios out there?

Stacey: Other than wood and stencils. The other companies give you one design choice for the given day you’re there. But with us, we have over 600 designs to choose from. We could have 30 different designs going on during one workshop!

Eric: What has been the greatest impact of COVID-19 on your business?

Stacey: We were shut down for almost 2 months. It seems like people are still worried about coming in so we have not been able to fill our classes, even though I have reduced the class size.

Eric: Have you taken any steps to adjust or handle that?

Stacey: We are keeping our workshop sizes about half the size. We have many cleaning stations and we disinfect everything.

Eric: It’s been said that smart people learn from their mistakes and wise people learn from the mistakes of others. What mistakes did you make along the way? And how can other entrepreneurs learn from your experience?

Stacey: Find that sweet spot! We were so excited to get opened and we overestimated what our business would be like the first year. We were in a place where rent was high for us. So we moved to lower rent and a better location. Just find the sweet spot of your business and know your numbers!

Stacey: When you register online for a class with us use code ACTIONCOACH15 for $15 off! Expires September 30, 2020.
