Jamie Miller’s Insights

Miller Law Firm focuses on four main areas: business, employment, estate planning, and probate. On the business and employment side, they help anyone from someone starting a business, buying a business, or running a business. They help customers go through contracts and deal with employee issues. For estate planning and probate, they help clients with advanced directives, trusts, wills, and avoiding probate. Jamie has had her own business for six years as an attorney.

Action COACH Eric Knam: What makes your law firm special?

Jamie: We communicate very well. A common complaint about Attorney Generals is that they aren’t great at communicating with clients or responding. Since I’ve started, I’ve had a communication or response time guarantee.

Eric: Who’s your target market?

Jamie: A small to medium-sized business owner at any stage is who we help. If I could work with someone from the start, that allows me to see the whole gamut and to make sure they start on the right foot and are formed correctly.

Eric: It’s been said that smart people learn from their mistakes, and wise people learn from others. What mistakes have you made along the way, and how can other entrepreneurs learn from your experience?

Jamie: It’s a pretty common issue is not protecting your time as a business owner and not tracking your time. Obviously, you have to track your time for billing purposes, but it’s important to track your time in other ways. If you get business from referral sources or other organizations, it’s important to track your investment and be sure that you’re spending your time in ways that have value to you and where you’re adding value as well. It’s really easy to burn out when you don’t track that.

Eric: What’s the best way for people to get in touch with you?

Jamie: Customers can visit us on our website: jmillerlawfirmpllc.com, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You can also reach us by phone, (918) 938-1322, or email jamie@jmillerlawfirmpllc.com.

Eric: Are there any special deals or offers that you’re offering right now?

Jamie: We offer a subscription or on-going service plan. If someone signs up for that and mentions Action COACH, we’ll give you ½ OFF your first month!
